Key Oil & Gas matters our lawyers have been involved in include:

  • Acted for clients in the offshore oil & gas industry – instructions include acting in a USD 150 million claim involving water ingress into a submarine pipeline advising on liability issues and on insurance and reinsurance aspects of the claim.
  • Acted for a Malaysia subsidiary of a public listed company in defending a claim exceeding RM46 million brought by a national oil & gas company for damage to underground gas pipelines due to emission and discharge of industrial effluents onto land.
  • Acted for an oil major n a limitation of liability action concerning loss of oil cargo following a piracy incident in East Malaysia waters where the claim amount exceeds USD 1.5 million.
  • Acted for a major oil & gas company in Malaysia in the negotiations and drafting of building contracts, sale and purchase agreements, and other related documentation for the erection of offshore oil rigs worth USD 750 million.
